I.Q. jumps by leaps and bounds!

Flipping channels this morning while eating my cereal, I came across Sesame Street. Now normally I don't think that I would have watched but I was bored and didn't want to watch The View with leather faced Joan Rivers or The Today Show with some woman talking about how great it was to be engaged.

Within a span of 5 seconds, Cookie Monster used the word "Piquant" and the little blond haired girl muppet used the word "Pathetic." If you haven't caught on by now the show was brought to us by the letter "P."
Are you serious? Even I had to look up "piquant" (Cookie Monster had just eaten the "P" cookie (don't get me started on cookies that taste like P) and proclaimed this word that means "agreeably stimulating to the palate.). Then when questioning the blue cookie consumer as to the whereabouts of the P cookie, the girl said "Pathetic." I only hope there are groups of second graders commonly using both words on play grounds everywhere.

wow. i love the western world. the guinea low-tech version doesn't have the flashy puppets or the sponsorship of celebrity letters. just me and my favorite three-year-old learning a little basic french. a direct quote from dioulde's recitation of the months of the year, "janvier, fevrier, dimanche, trois..." (for non-french speakers: january, february, sunday, three...)
